In 1967, ITW Buildex opened its doors in Elgin, Illinois and began with just four employees.  The company grew quickly as the staff started successfully building the unit's reputations as an innovative leading supplier of products in the construction industry.

Our commitment to research and development has taken the company through three decades of continuous growth by meeting the industries ever-changing needs.

Continued growth prompted the move in 1984 to Buildex's current facility in Itasca, Illinois.  Buildex employs over 200 people.
